Maddie’s Fund® is a family foundation created in 1994 by Workday® co-founder Dave Duffield and his wife, Cheryl. Maddie’s Fund® has generously supported HSSV’s work with over $1.3M in lifesaving funds since 2008.

Petco Love has served with a focus on one thing: Creating a better world for animals and the people who love and need them. They have provided HSSV with over $600,000 in grants funds, most recently to support our lifesaving programs.

PetSmart Charities is proud to be the leading funder of animal welfare in North America. Since 1995, they have provided HSSV with over $700,000 in grant funds to help with programs such as spay/neuter and emergency boarding.

Farrington Historical Foundation’s mission is to promote the appreciation of our Valley’s heritage and improve the community for future generations. They have granted over $100,000 since 1997, supporting programs like Trap-Neuter-Return and our Pet Pantry.

The Rotary Club of San Jose is a leadership organization working to make a difference in our community. They have generously supported our spay/neuter clinics and building modifications in the Peter Detkin and Michelle Oates Detkin Animal Community Center.

Sereno – 1% For Good Charitable Foundation gives back for every dollar they make from the business of buying and selling homes. They invest a portion with local partners and organizations who are working to create positive change in our community. In 2021, they provided $10,000 in grant funds to our Pet Pantry program.

Hill’s Pet Nutrition believes quality care for pets includes nutrition, veterinary health care, daily exercise and lots of love. They support HSSV by providing Hill’s Science Diet pet foods at an exclusive discount.

HSSV exclusively uses HomeAgain microchips for all of the dogs, cats, and rabbits adopted through HSSV as well as for pets of clients who come to HSSV’s Medical Center.

HSSV is a proud Partner in Protection (PIP) program with Boehringer Ingelheim (Merial). All of our shelter animals receive free flea and tick products from this generous partner.

IDEXX Laboratories is HSSV’s exclusive reference and in-house testing laboratory. As part of the partnership, IDEXX funds continuing education opportunities for our veterinary staff.

WeCARE alliance is a group of six shelters in Santa Clara County, California, with one goal: to find homes for every homeless animal in Silicon Valley. WeCARE was formed to save more lives among our organizations and to heighten community-wide awareness about saving healthy and treatable animals.

The Health Trust is building health equity in Silicon Valley for vulnerable populations by aligning funder, provider, and advocate roles to maximize the impact. They have partnered with HSSV to allow our organization to provide Meals on Wheels style pet food support to homebound pet owners in need.

Using a “One Health” approach to street medicine, Street Dog Coalition (SDC) cares for the lives on both ends of the leash. SDC, through Whole Pet Vet, and HSSV have partnered to provide free wellness, vaccines, and spay/neuter services to pet owners in need on the third Sunday of the month near Happy Hollow Park and Zoo.
